Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Louisville, KY is seeking an experienced software developer to build AI/ML applications, including LLMs, and to lead end-to-end software delivery.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust implementations while applying secure API strategies and cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing AI/ML applications, particularly LLMs.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and project management.

Responsibilities

• Write and debug high-quality, efficient code for language and document generation systems.
• Manage assigned development tasks throughout the SDLC, including design, coding, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Build strong relationships based on clear communication.
• Participate in design discussions, provide estimates and progress updates.
• Continuously seek improvements in processes and delivery.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

Department Overview

The Worldwide Sales Effectiveness & Enablement organization is a business team that leads the strategy, development, and delivery of sales tools & processes that enable an efficient, effective selling organization. This group is responsible for everyday sales tools our sellers, customers and partners use to drive Sales Growth. As a business team, it is our mission to help deliver the best set of tools, data & processes that will enable our Worldwide Sales organization to drive continuous sales growth.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Write and debug high-quality, efficient code for language and document generation systems.
• Manage assigned development tasks throughout the software development lifecycle, including contributing to technical design, understanding requirements, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including developers, designers, product managers/owners, and business stakeholders - to ensure continual project success.
• Build strong relationships based on clear communication.
• Actively participate in technical design discussions and project status meetings, providing input on feasibility, estimates, and progress for assigned tasks
• Always look for ways to improve how things are done.
• Other tasks as assigned by Management

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing AI/ML applications, particularly LLMs
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and project management principles.
• Experience with designing, deploying, maintaining, and modifying databases.
• Experience implementing complex API authentication and authorization flows (especially service-to-service authentication) between multiple systems.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical implementation details and user stories.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with programming languages and software development tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in a clear and concise manner to all audiences
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Skilled in using tools to manage calendars, emails, spreadsheets, documents and slides
• Working experience in Agile methodology, Git workflows, and GitHub
• Working experience with AI assistants such as Gemini, Windsurf, and coding/development tools.

Relevant Programming Languages and Frameworks

Target Base Salary Range: $78,000 - $88,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions' values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

• Bachelors Degree with 2+ years of developer experience as intern OR 3+ years of developer experience as a professional or related field
