Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Tooling Design Engineer for a manufacturing client in Indiana. The role focuses on tooling and component design, using CAD tools to translate concepts into manufacturable fixtures and jigs.

You will collaborate with Electrical, Controls, Product, Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure GD&T, tolerancing and material selection meet specifications. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tooling design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient CAD experience for tooling and component design (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Experience with machining and/or tool making.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, dimensioning, and material selection.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams (Electrical, Controls, Product, Quality, Manufacturing).
• Experience supporting low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
