Job summary

Akkodis is recruiting for a Tool Design Engineer in Mason, OH. This direct-hire role offers a pay range of $75K to $105K annually, depending on education, experience, and location. The engineer will create CAD models that translate into functional tooling fixtures, requiring strong modeling, drafting, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation skills.

Preferred is a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years in tool design and proficiency in Siemens NX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tool design with emphasis on tool holding fixtures.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning and SPC.
• Experience developing new tooling designs or major design upgrades.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and geometry and trigonometry.
• Eligibility to secure a government clearance.

Job description

Akkodis is recruiting for a Tool Design Engineer for a manufacturer in the Mason, OH area. This is a direct hire position with a pay range of $75K annually to $105K annually depending on education, experience and location. The Tool Design Engineer will be able to create CAD models that can be translated into a functional tooling fixture. Tool Design Engineers with fundamental modeling design, assemblies, hydraulics, drafting, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation will excel in this role.

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline preferred. Equivalent experience in a directly related role will be considered in lieu of a degree

• 5 or more years of experience in tool design with an emphasis on tool holding fixtures
• Proficiency in Siemens NX
• Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning and SPC
• Experience with developing new tooling designs or major design upgrades for various types of tooling
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
• Eligibility to secure a government clearance.
