Job summary

NAVAIR is seeking an inventory-focused professional to receive, inspect, store, issue, return, and inventory tools, parts, equipment, tool kits, and related materials to support maintenance, repair, production, and customer requirements.

You will maintain tool and material accountability through documentation and automated-system transactions, conduct inventory and research discrepancies, and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials per established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tool and material accountability by completing required documentation and automated-system transactions.
• Conduct inventory, research discrepancy and identify missing, damaged, unserviceable, or expired items for appropriate action.
• Perform hazardous materials operations including receipt, labeling, storage, and inventory control per procedures.
• Assist customers with tool, parts, and hazardous-material requirements.
• Maintain safe, orderly work areas and report issues to the supervisor.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will receive, inspect, store, issue, return, and inventory tools, parts, equipment, tool kits, and associated materials to support maintenance, repair, production, and customer requirements.
• You will maintain tool and material accountability by completing required documentation and automated-system transactions.
• You will conduct inventory, research discrepancy and identify missing, damaged, unserviceable, or expired items for appropriate action.
• You will perform HDSC operations, including receipt, labeling, segregation, proper storage, handling, issue, return, shelf-life and expiration-date monitoring, and inventory control of hazardous materials in accordance with established procedures.
• You will assist customers with tool, parts, and hazardous-material requirements.
• You will maintain work areas and storage locations in a safe and orderly condition; and reports inventory, safety, equipment, customer-service, or operational issues to the work leader or supervisor.
