Responsibilities

• Assist production, maintenance, and engineering teams with tool selection and troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free toolroom.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to tooling, processes, and organization.

Toolroom Technician

Position Summary

The Toolroom Technician is responsible for receiving, issuing, maintaining, and organizing tools, equipment, and related supplies. This role requires a mechanically inclined individual who can inspect tools for wear or damage, perform minor repairs and adjustments, and support production and maintenance teams by ensuring the right tools are available, calibrated, and in safe working condition.

• Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings, manuals, and specifications (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to use computer-based inventory or tracking systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move tools and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderately heavy items throughout the shift.
• Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment with appropriate PPE.

Work Environment

• Toolroom, shop, or production environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment.
• Use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes as required.
