Qualifications

• Trade school/Community college machining education or 2+ years related experience.
• Fluency in reading blueprints and interpreting specs.
• Strong communication with supervisors and peers.
• Applied math: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, algebra, and geometry.
• Understanding of turning, drilling, milling, surface finishes, tolerances, and cutting fluids.
• Comfort working with steels, non‑ferrous metals, and engineering alloys.
• Military background welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Transform drawings and sketches into high‑precision parts using manual mills, lathes, grinders, jig bores, and more.
• Set up machines, validate work with precision metrology, and make minor repairs/adjustments to keep jobs moving.
• Apply geometry and shop math to hit tolerances on bearings, seals, and contract machining projects.
