Job summary

Qualified Staffing is seeking a skilled Toolmaker with strong mechanical and technical knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and keep production equipment running. The role supports 2nd & 3rd shift openings in the Blue Water Area with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of Toolmaker experience, own tools, and hands-on capability with modern manufacturing equipment; safety and reliability are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Toolmaker experience – REQUIRED.
• Must have your own tools.
• Must have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Experience with modern/state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Work with machining & grinding centers, automation, conveyors, and assembly equipment.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, press, robotic, and automated welding systems.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Use lathes, Bridgeport’s, grinders, drill presses, and welding equipment.
• Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
• Assist with fabrication, fitting, grinding, shimming, and equipment adjustments.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and machine reliability.
• Help minimize equipment downtime and keep production moving.
