A Toolmaker is responsible for the disassembly, assessment, repair, and assembly of Blow and Injection Molding tooling to ensure optimal production performance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and the use of PPE (ear plugs) is required.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be regularly required to: Ability to perform standing job for 8 to 12 consecutive hours (depending on shift length). Remain stationery for extended periods of time. Move around Tool Room floor. Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 pounds. Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 8- to 12-hour period (depending on shift length). Frequent standing and bench work. Work in manufacturing environment. Manipulate small parts, tools, levers, and other small, hand-eye coordinated tasks.
