Job description



Staffmark is partnering with a respected manufacturer in Urbana, OH, to hire an experienced Toolmaker for their growing team. If you're detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you.



Pay Rate: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour (based on experience)



Shift: 2nd Shift



As a Toolmaker, you'll play a critical role in machining, programming, and fabricating parts to support production operations. You'll also help maintain tools and machines, perform quality inspections, and support troubleshooting activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



Responsibilities:



  • Program, set up, and operate CNC/manual machines using Mastercam

  • Perform light fabrication, custom part creation, and operate grinders

  • Inspect parts and ensure quality using measuring tools and part prints

  • Select and optimize tooling; troubleshoot and resolve machining issues

  • Design inspection gauges and support new product quality processes

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area

  • Reverse engineer and fabricate replacement or custom parts as needed



Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of toolmaking or mold-making experience preferred

  • Prior toolmaker apprenticeship a plus

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and machining skills

  • Proficiency in Mastercam or similar programming software

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly

  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
