Job summary

Gerresheimer is seeking a skilled Mold Repair Technician to repair and maintain injection molds for our pharmaceutical packaging systems. You will independently perform tool repairs, disassemble/assemble molds, and execute precision tasks such as spotting and measuring, all while ensuring parts meet exact specifications.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mold repair experience, can read technical drawings, and are proficient with milling, grinding and EDM processes.

Qualifications

• Completed 3-year technical training or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience repairing and maintaining injection molds.
• Proficient in disassembly, assembly and reworking of molds and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of mold repair processes, including spotting and measuring.
• Ability to read technical drawings and implement dimensional changes accurately.
• Hands-on experience with milling, grinding and eroding.
• Familiar with MES and manufacturing systems.
• Skilled at diagnosing wear and replacing defective parts.
• Detail-oriented with high quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain injection molds per internal specifications to support production.
• Independently repair tools based on documented tool complaints per specifications.
• Disassemble and assemble injection molds with accuracy.
• Perform bench tasks such as spotting, measuring and other precision work.
• Document dimensional changes on technical drawings reflecting modifications.
• Inspect tools for wear, replace defective parts, rework as needed.
• Test repaired tools and molds to ensure they meet specs.
• Update MES after repair or maintenance activities.
• Perform regular tool inspections, diagnose issues, and replace wear parts.

Job Description

• Repair and maintain injection molds in accordance with internal specifications to support smooth injection molding production.
• Independently carry out tool repairs based on documented tool complaints, adhering to the set specifications.
• Perform disassembly and assembly of injection molds, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Execute skilled tasks at the workbench, such as spotting, measuring, and other critical adjustments.
• Document dimensional changes directly on technical drawings to reflect modifications.
• Inspect tools and components for wear, replace defective or worn parts, and rework tools and molds as required.
• Test repaired tools and molds to ensure they meet required specifications and operational standards.
• Update and maintain the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) following repair or maintenance activities.
• Perform regular tool inspections in line with maintenance schedules, diagnosing issues as needed and replacing wear parts and materials.
