Job summary

Unify Recruit seeks a Senior Tool Maker to join our precision manufacturing team. You will fabricate, repair, and design fixtures, tooling, and gages, using blueprints and CAD/CAM tools while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

You will interpret blueprints, work with precision measuring devices, and collaborate with machinists to meet production goals. A high school diploma plus a technical certificate is preferred, with 5+ years in tool-making and strong math skills required.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators).
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong math skills (geometry and algebra) for fabrication calculations.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 preferred (on-the-job training provided).
• Excellent problem-solving and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and produce fixtures, tooling, loading fixtures, and gages.

• Operate tool room equipment safely and efficiently per OSHA standards and company procedures.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tool Maker to join our team. In this role, you will perform senior-level technical tool-making work with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment. You will ensure that tools, fixtures, and gages are built, maintained, and repaired efficiently to support our precision manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

• Fabricate & Repair: Modify, repair, and produce newly designed fixtures, tooling, loading fixtures, and job-specific gages.
• Design & Visualize: Design fixtures and tools, and analyze blueprints, sketches, or models to determine required materials and fabrication machinery.
• Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate tool room equipment in accordance with OSHA standards and company procedures.
• Procurement Support: Handle purchase requisitions for raw materials and components, and recommend outside fabrication options when necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Assist machinists on the shop floor as needed to ensure smooth operations.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated tool-making experience.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Measurement & Blueprint Mastery: Proven ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and sine plates).
• Technical Aptitude: Strong math skills (geometry and algebra) for fabrication calculations, and proficiency with CAD/CAM software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Industry Standards: General knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 is preferred (on-the-job training will be provided).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, independent judgment, strong English communication skills, and the flexibility to manage shifting priorities under tight deadlines.
