Job summary

Aristo-Cast Inc. is seeking a skilled tool and mold maker with a complete understanding of injection mold making and the ability to determine parting lines, slides, or inserts for tool design. They must program cutter paths using Mastercam to feed Haas CNC mills.

You will build molds from blueprints and CAD drawings, maintain and repair tooling, calibrate with precision gauges, and collaborate with engineers to improve tool designs while overseeing daily workflows to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job description

Looking for an individual who possesses a complete understanding of injection mold making. Not only should that individual be able to determine parting lines and the need for slides or inserts as it applies to tool design. But once the tool design is complete, they must be able to program the complete cutter path using Mastercam to feed 1 of 4 Haas CNC mills.

Duties:

Build molds: Machine and assemble metal master dies or tooling components from blueprints and CAD drawings

Maintain & Repair: Fix worn, broken, or out-of-spec tooling, gating, and insert components.

Calibrate & Measure: Use precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify tight tolerances.

Collaborate: Work with engineers and production staff to improve tool designs and resolve casting flaws.

Operations: Oversee daily workflows and assign tasks to optimize productivity.

Leadership & Time Mgt: Motivate and guide others while staying organized to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
