Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks an Industrial Tooling & Manufacturing Systems Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes and welding workflows. You will architect tools, fixtures, and equipment, coordinating across R&D, Quality, Production, and external operations to ensure every part meets spec.

You will lead process improvements, extend welding capabilities from MIG to robotics, and develop WPS/PQRs while maintaining quality data and documentation for new equipment introductions.

Qualifications

• BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks), project management, and statistical analysis software.
• ERP experience required; Epicor preferred.
• Strong foundation in manufacturing processes and equipment; weld metallurgy, welding processes, and equipment knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and attention to detail.
• Self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Process Architecture: engineer and launch manufacturing processes and equipment for cost-effective output.
• Tooling & Fixturing: design fixtures and tooling in SolidWorks for repeatability, ergonomics, safety.
• Welding Excellence: own manual MIG and robotic welding; develop and maintain WPS and PQRs.
• Reliability & Quality: lead root-cause analyses for weld defects and equipment failures.
• Oversee inbound/outbound quality and supplier materials.
• Continuous Improvement: conduct time-and-motion studies to identify cost reductions.
• Project Leadership: define scope and manage all project phases; coordinate with Project Managers.
• Documentation: deliver clear parts organization and product manuals for new processes/equipment.
