Job summary

Hornbeck Offshore Inc. is seeking a Tooling Technician (ROV Tooling) to support ongoing new build subsea tooling, repairs and testing of tooling assets, and final assembly/fabrication support in the Houston area.

Responsibilities include maintaining tooling assets and schedules, interfacing with the Tooling Manager, and ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance for onshore tooling activities. Some offshore travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education / Training: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Provide recommendations for tooling process enhancements, upgrades, and improvements.
• Maintain and repair as needed shop tools & test equipment.

• Assure readiness of tooling assets in support of operations requirements.
• Maintain project related documentation including manuals and procedures.
• Responsible for health, safety and environmental compliance for onshore tooling activities.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining tooling assets.
• Maintain tooling asset schedules in accordance with operational requirements.
• Provide recommendations for tooling process enhancements, upgrades, and improvements.
• Maintain and repair as needed shop tools & test equipment.
• Issue weekly & monthly reports as appropriate.
• Interface with Tooling Manager to prioritize & schedule assets.
• Assure readiness of tooling assets in support of operations requirements.

• Strong Electro-Mechanical & Hydraulics background.
• Knowledge of Well Intervention & Workover Control Systems beneficial.

• Excellent interpersonal, communications and writing skills.

Working conditions

• Office, shop environment.
• Some Travel Required.
• Occasional Offshore travel may be required.
