Job summary

Jacobs Management Group is seeking a Tooling Supervisor in Riverside County, CA, on-site, to lead a team of tooling technicians and ensure extrusion tooling runs smoothly to keep production on schedule.

You will own tooling design, maintenance, and delivery on a fast-paced production floor, driving improvements in quality, cost, and delivery for new and existing products.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a tooling or maintenance team in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and shop drawings for others.
• Decision-maker in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform tool cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance for extrusion tooling.
• Manage work assignments and coach the team on standard work and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and improve tooling to meet production and customer needs.
• Identify and maintain critical spare parts inventory to prevent production disruptions.
• Partner with operations and engineering to improve tooling processes.
• Train tooling technicians and supervise attendance and teamwork for adequate coverage.

A medical device manufacturer is hiring a Tooling Supervisor to drive excellence in its tooling function. You'll lead a team of 4 or more technicians, keeping extrusion tooling running smoothly and production on schedule.
