Job summary

Pratt Industries in Ohio is seeking a Tooling Associate to coordinate tooling inspection, repairs, and replacements. You will manage plate/die logs, assign IDs, and ensure proper staging and documentation across shifts.

Role requires high school diploma or GED, ability to read tapes, and basic math. Physical demand includes lifting up to 50–100 pounds; on-site work with potential for cross-training in machine centers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to apply high school math concepts.
• Reasoning ability to follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and recognize tooling that needs repair or revision.
• Coordinate machine walk-throughs and pull/return tooling to proper locations.
• Inspect printing plates; assign numbers and keep die/plate logs updated.
• Coordinate in-house or outside repair status with supervisors.
• Maintain tooling POs and monthly tooling spread sheets.
• Handle outbound tooling, quotes, and bill of ladings.
• Fill in on vacations on machine centers when needed.
