Job summary

Petersen is seeking a Tooling Specialist in Ogden, UT to act as the cutting tool SME for the Design Engineering group and machine shop. You will own the TDM Global tool data library, build tool assemblies, and coordinate with CNC programmers to ensure tooling readiness for programming.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience, plus hands-on tooling and data management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of machine shop cutting tooling and data management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Select and specify cutting tooling per job, generate preliminary tool list.
• Maintain and update the TDM Global library and tool assemblies.
• Provide shop floor support and tooling SME input to Estimates and Manufacturing Engineering.
