Job summary

Petersen is seeking a Machine Tooling Specialist in Ogden, UT to own the cutting tool library, select tooling for each job, and coordinate with CNC programmers on tooling data in the TDM Global system.

You will generate tool assembly prints, maintain tool data accuracy, and provide shop floor support on tooling questions while collaborating with design and manufacturing engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of machine shop tooling—holders, inserts, collets, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Select and specify machine shop cutting tooling per job.
• Review drawings and machining plans to determine tooling needs.
• Generate the preliminary tool list per job for programming.
• Maintain the TDM Global library and tool data accuracy.
• Provide shop floor support on cutting tool questions.
