Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Full-time Tooling/Mechanical Engineer III with experience in tooling for machined or welded assemblies at Hill AFB, Utah. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance are required.

You will design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures, collaborate with design, production, and quality teams, and ensure safety and quality standards. You will also prepare technical data packages and transition designs to production.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with tooling for machined or welded assemblies.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams for tool compatibility.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in tool design and usage.
• Provide technical support and training to production teams.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specifications and materials lists.
• Prepare and direct high quality mechanical and electro-mechanical drawings; transition to production.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create detailed design reports and summarize analysis results.
