About the Role

As a Tooling Manager, you will lead the achievement of quality, safety, delivery, productivity, and cost goals for the area and drive continuous improvement. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Services and work 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and own all aspects of tooling performance and develop and execute strategies to continuously improve on-time and in-full delivery of high‑quality manufactured nuclear fuel products in a safe and cost‑effective manner.
• Establish area and individual objectives, monitor performance, and provide feedback and coaching to ensure objectives are met.
• Direct and develop area personnel in achieving area and plant goals, including managing Team Leaders (first‑line supervisors) and Tooling Engineers.
• Collaborate with EHS, Product Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational Excellence to integrate resource groups toward solving technical and other problems.
• Manage the selection and performance of off‑site vendors to guarantee a supply chain for outsourced site tooling.
• Lead projects and facilitate lean manufacturing to improve performance.
• Manage area budget to achieve forecasted spend.
• Manage area staffing to ensure achievement of area and plant goals.
• Maintain high employee morale in an environment of dynamic production load requirements and technological changes.
• Develop and implement plans for meeting customer requirements; ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and government regulations.
• Implement change in accordance with organizational needs and strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a technical, business, or engineering focus or Westinghouse equivalent of industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of process improvement principles such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated operations management experience.

Salary

$112,400 to $140,500 per year, dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills.
