Tooling Machinist Sign On Bonus of $2,500

YOUR ROLE:

The following responsibilities constitute roughly 80% of your job. As a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in various directions with tasks added or changed as the company grows.

  1. Set up and operate CNC Mill, EDM, Lathes, Milling machine, Drill presses, saws, & Laserwelder to produce specified dimensions and finishes on a wide variety of materials.
  2. Provide advanced CNC programs to the Toolroom equipment utilizing Esprit software.
  3. Use all measuring instruments, such as calipers, depth mics, indicators, and hold tolerances within drawing specifications.
  4. Modify new and replacement tooling or fixturing, working from drawings, machine sketches, layouts, blueprints, or verbal instructions.
  5. Perform duties necessary to maintain tooling, production equipment, Toolroom equipment, and spare parts.
  6. Analyze tooling returned to Die Maintenance to ensure they are in good condition before being restocked. Repair tooling or hardware as needed.
  7. Contribute effectively to continuous improvement initiatives with an open mind.
  8. Work independently or in a group setting.
  9. Occasionally travel for training purposes.
  10. Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards, including PPE use and LOTO procedures.
  11. Maintain attendance, demonstrate a “can do” attitude, and work overtime as needed.
  12. Participate actively in Toolroom department team meetings.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • GED or High school diploma
  • Manual & Advanced CNC Machining knowledge
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems
  • Strong time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM systems with minimal guidance
  • Understanding of feeds and speeds, as well as machining tables in Machinist Handbook, for all common materials
  • Knowledge of geometry and trigonometry as necessary
  • Experience with industry standards in using machine and hand tools for tooling or machinery repair
  • Ability to understand and meet quality standards, including inspection device usage
  • Prior experience with Laserwelding
  • Technical or Trade school degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed
