Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Manager for on-site leadership of tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation programs at a Virginia manufacturing facility. You will drive end-to-end projects, aligning with production needs and budgets, and collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and external suppliers.

The role emphasizes capital project management, supplier coordination, and safety/regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation, including capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment specifications.
• Experience coordinating tooling and equipment installation projects with suppliers and vendors.
• Proficiency with MS Project, SAP or similar systems; strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tooling and industrial equipment projects.
• Lead end-to-end execution of tooling and equipment installation and upgrades from concept through commissioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution with minimal production disruption.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation to keep projects on track and within budget.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers; negotiate contracts and delivery terms.
