Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to verify and validate equipment and tooling across all validation phases. The role qualifies machinery, supports changeovers, and ensures timely equipment installations and buy-offs with milestone alignment.

The candidate will analyze downtime and performance data, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions to improve equipment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with equipment validation and machinery qualification.
• Experience performing equipment buy-offs and supporting manufacturing milestones.
• Strong ability to analyze downtime, equipment performance, and production data.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining.
• Experience with block/prismatic machining processes.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with plant teams, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in Bay City, MI and travel to supplier locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and validate equipment and tooling through all phases of product and equipment validation.
• Qualify machinery and support tooling changeovers and equipment installations.
• Perform equipment buy-offs and ensure project milestones are completed on schedule.
• Provide onsite support at supplier facilities as required.
• Analyze and interpret equipment downtime and performance data.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
• Work closely with plant, engineering, maintenance, and supplier teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Support manufacturing projects from equipment installation through production launch.
• Ensure equipment and tooling meet required manufacturing, quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Communicate project status, issues, and corrective actions effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
