Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support tool room and equipment coordination across job sites. You will prioritize tool room duties, work with vendors, and coordinate shipping and receiving to ensure materials arrive on time.

The role requires basic math, reading a tape measure, and the ability to operate Windows-based systems and ToolWatch. A clean DOT medical card and forklift certification are preferred or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly with supervision.
• Ability to perform basic math and read a tape measure.
• Must obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a clean MVR.
• Must obtain forklift certification.
• Must use Windows-based programs and ToolWatch Asset Management.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds and works in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily tool room duties with Tool Room Coordinator.
• Direct Tool Room Attendant to meet priorities.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Superintendents on tool needs.
• Coordinate with tool vendors to maintain inventory.
• Learn about new product offerings and benefits.
• Maintain tool calibration and certification paperwork.
• Schedule shipping and receiving with SE Freight, UPS, TQL, FedEx, etc.
• Support Equipment Division for small equipment service and repairs.
• Provide support for vehicle fleet logistics.
• Assist Dead Storage organization.
• Assist Equipment Manager with facilities and yard.
