Job summary

SlateUp, Inc. is seeking a Costing Engineer to lead budgetary estimates and quotations for equipment and tooling investment during New Model and Business Plan projects.

You will collaborate with multiple departments and suppliers to gather cost data and deliver accurate projections that keep projects financially viable and competitive. The role requires strong mathematical and analytical skills, proficiency with common office software, and the ability to present information clearly to customers

Qualifications

• Experience with costing methods and volume calculations.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions.
• Mathematical concepts applied to cost estimating.
• Proficient with standard office software (MS Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead budgetary estimates and quotations for equipment and tooling investments.
• Collaborate with departments, contractors, and suppliers to gather cost data.
• Prepare quotations for parts, assemblies, and tooling.
• Manage drawings and related documents.
• Select subcontractors and oversee materials for prototypes.
• Support multi-disciplinary teams on quality planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
