Job summary

Transportation Partners & Logistics in Sioux Falls seeks a dedicated Tooling Specialist to oversee our company assets, maintain tooling and fixtures, and coordinate repair and calibration schedules. You will manage inventories, schedule maintenance, and enforce safety and storage standards in a shop environment.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a team, and readiness to train on forklift/telehandler operations as needed. HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Past warehouse tooling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook (will train).
• Excellent organizational skills and teamwork.
• Adaptability and change readiness.
• Self-starter with drive for continuous improvement.
• Willingness to assist other teams.

Responsibilities

• Overall upkeep of the company’s tooling, lifting fixtures, and specialty job boxes.
• Tracking all tooling calibration certs. and any required pull/lift tests on company owned fixtures.
• Maintain and track job boxes specific to tasks. Inventory upon return from field and restock as needed.
• Perform function test of tooling equipment when returned from field.
• Make or schedule repairs for broken equipment.
• Create and implement tool and equipment maintenance program.
• Cleanliness and organization of all tool storage areas in shop.
• Tracking of tooling assigned to trailers and other vehicles (enforce policy to crews coming in).
• Able to operate Forklift / Telehandler (will train and certify).
• Other duties as assigned.
