Job summary

Southland Industries in Texas is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage and maintain tool inventory, ensure equipment is in proper working order, and support on-site deliveries.

You will purchase tools, drive to locations, perform basic maintenance, handle shipping with forklift, and assist project personnel with requisitions while keeping stock well organized. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; forklift certification is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• CDL license and first-aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchases tools and equipment as requested by manager.
• Drives and delivers tools and equipment to locations as needed.
• Ensures tools and equipment are in proper order and maintained.
• Performs shipping/handling duties including forklift operation.
• Performs general maintenance and building/yard tasks.
• Maintains inventory and informs manager of reorder needs.
