Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a Tooling Engineering Manager to lead tooling engineering, mold construction, tool room operations, and maintenance across the equipment lifecycle. You will own tooling strategy, establish standards, and drive preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and product quality.

This role partners with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Product Development to meet safety, delivery, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with injection molding tooling, mold making, and tooling lifecycle.
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling engineering, mold construction, maintenance, and tool room activities.
• Own tooling strategy, standards, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement tooling improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development.
• Manage budgets, capital planning, and supplier performance.
• Ensure on-time production launches and tooling reliability.
• Maintain tooling records, documentation, and engineering changes.
