Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Group is seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, procure, and support silicone tooling and equipment. You will collaborate with mechanical, product, and process teams to move equipment from concept to validated production, ensuring quality and cost targets are met.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office, with experience in lean manufacturing and quality improvement preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to design tooling and moderately complex silicone parts.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tooling and equipment qualification with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot production tooling issues and lead repair activities.
• Lead tooling projects including mold builds, validation, and production transfer.
• Support manufacturing process development for tooling and equipment.
• Identify and evaluate external tooling suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
• Provide status updates to management and customers as needed.
