Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Tooling Engineer to support the Palmdale tooling department. This on-site role requires coordinating tool and fixture design, test plans, and process improvements, while guiding manufacturability assessments for new product designs.

The position emphasizes hands-on design with Catia, attention to industry standards, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality and efficiency in tooling projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high 3D modeling proficiency.
• Familiar with ANSI/ISO drawing standards.
• Experience designing castings, stampings, and turned parts.
• GD&T knowledge for applying drawing rules.
• Strong writing and communication of technical details.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

12 Month Contract

Pay Rate: $45-55/hr W2

US Citizenship Required

Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tooling department. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
