Job summary

SyBridge Technologies, a leading provider of design and manufacturing solutions, seeks a Tooling Engineer/Designer to own mold tool design for injection molding projects across our U.S. facilities.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver tooling that meets stringent customer and SyBridge standards. The role requires 2–5 years of tooling experience, proficiency in SolidWorks, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years designing tooling or plastic injection molds or equivalent.
• Proficient in CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete engineering projects such as designing tooling
• Verify and check functional needs of manifold and ensure meets mold flow requirements
• Modify and/or develop cooling and ejection system
• Verify mechanisms function properly in the design
• Understand and apply customer or SyBridge standards to the mold design
• Verify mold meets customer & try-out locations press parameters
• Incorporate machining and mold making best practices with consideration for best cost and timing
• Independently attend customer reviews as needed
• Incorporate all customer & SyBridge safety standards into all tool designs
• Initiate purchase requisitions for block size, manifolds, and other purchased components
• Successfully maintain a fluctuating workload, multi-task on jobs and conflicting priorities, sufficient information to proceed with work
• Confidence in being the key authority Ensuring adequate steel and seal-off conditions, water locations, ejection quantity/size, tool strength (pillars, manifold cutout, plate thickness), assembly feasibility, approve manifolds
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary

We are seeking a Tooling Engineer / Designer to join the SyBridge engineering team at our Fitchburg, Massachusetts facility. This individual will work closely within the Engineering department and closely with the Operations and Commercial teams. This individual will be in charge of creating and owning the mold tool design and subsequent documentation. Work loc: Erie, PA; Fitchburg, MA

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete engineering projects such as designing tooling

Qualifications:

• Two to five years of related experience designing tooling/plastic injection molds or equivalent experience
• Two to five years of experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Must be able to work independently to scheduled workloads, with ability to perform under pressure
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required
• Ability to ensure quality standards are met per SyBridge and customer standards
• Strong attention to detail is required
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship building skills
• Comfortable working in afast-pacedenvironment and communicating with cross-functional teams
• Travel: up to 15%

Desired Education and Experience:

• 4-year engineering degree with two to five years of career experience or
• College certification (mold making & design), associate design degree, high school/GED with five to seven years of career experience
