Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer for our manufacturing client in Ohio to drive tooling design, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence across operations. You will lead tooling and fixture design for deep-draw and heavy-gauge stamping, coordinate cross-functional support for production, and push projects to meet cost, quality, and timing targets.

The role emphasizes APQP activities, PFMEA, control plans, Lean/CI projects, and a strong CAD capability with AutoCAD, Rhino,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in tooling, metal stamping, machining, or sheet-metal manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tooling and fixture design for deep-draw and heavy-gauge stamping processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support to production, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure projects meet cost, quality, and timing targets.
  • Develop new tooling concepts and enhance existing manufacturing processes for safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support APQP activities including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Participate in CI and Lean events to optimize tooling performance and reduce waste.
