Job description

This position requires authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. The company will **not sponsor or support employment visas** for this role at any time.This is a 3rd shift position.**SUMMARY****Maintains CNC equipment and responsible for programing and set up of Haas 3-axis & 5-axis CNC machines. Machine steel components and tooling to support a production automotive facility. Additionally, supports all preventative maintenance programs by performing the following duties within an automotive environment.****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****Duties and Responsibilities:*** Programming CNC code from provided 3D CAD data utilizing Mastercam 2024-2025 software* Setting up appropriate machining tools, offsets and materials as required* Operating CNC machines and verifying finished components as required* Ability to build one-off components to 3D models, not production machining* Operate other toolroom equipment as needed, i.e., manual mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, overhead crane, saw, etc.* Interacting with Design Engineers/Project Leaders/Toolmakers/Apprentices to develop manufacturable components with an eye for product improvement and potential build issues* Ensuring that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery, are understood and met* Ensuring the shop environment is safe, clean and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques* Identifies tooling needed to complete machining projects* Hard-cutting and machining of welded components* Observing all company safety rules, policies and procedures**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate attention to detail, identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternatives solutions, uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics, seeks self-improvement, learns new jobs to improve job performance, positive attitude, strives for personal and organizational excellence. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.**REASONING ABILITY**Ability to define problems collects data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions.
