Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least five years of related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings; working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
• Strong supervisory and training skills; ability to interview, hire, and direct staff; ensure safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises the Tooling Engineer and all toolroom staff.
• Manages tooling projects, vendor relationships, and mold/tool design revisions.
• Reads and interprets blueprints; coordinates molding and tooling activities with production and planning.
• Develops and tracks tooling repair expenses and CAR records; ensures on-time CAR close-out.
• Participates in new product design/reviews and maintains cost-effective tooling solutions.
