Job summary

Trans-Matic in Holland, MI is seeking a Tooling Coordinator to bridge design, engineering and manufacturing. You will own the master build schedule, set daily priorities, and ensure new tooling is delivered on time to meet product launches.

You will collaborate with engineering, production and procurement, track milestones, report risks, and optimize capacity in a fast-paced machine shop environment. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a machine shop environment and project coordination or scheduling preferred.
• Ability to read tooling prints and track engineering/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and optimize the production schedule for new tooling builds.
• Set daily priorities to balance urgent design changes with long-term goals.
• Monitor shop capacity, labor hours, and machine availability to prevent bottlenecks.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings with engineering, production, and procurement to meet deadlines.
• Track milestones and communicate risks or delays to leadership.
