Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH is looking for a Tooling and Automation Engineer to lead tooling development for high-volume assembly. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to design, validate, and deploy tooling and processes that meet quality, cost, and schedule targets.

The role requires strong CAD skills (Creo/SolidWorks), automation and PLC experience, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience with automation, PLCs, Machine Vision and electrical controls.
Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical people.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop and document assembly tooling for new / existing products.
Develop and document assembly processes, spare parts lists, and maintenance plans.
Define process steps, material handling, and layout requirements.
Prepare equipment and systems specifications and scope of work.
Collaborate with product development and suppliers to enable technologies.
Support prototyping, pilot production and high-volume deployment.
