Iten Industries, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Toolmaker to lay out, fit, and assemble tools, jigs, fixtures, or gauges according to blueprints and shop math. Under general supervision, you will machine parts to specifications and verify conformance, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 1-2 years machining experience, print reading and shop math skills, and may involve a DOT physical. Starting pay is $19-$21 per hour based on experience, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Print reading, shop math, and machining skills are required.
• One to two years of machining experience is required.
• May be required to take a D.O.T Physical.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make or repair tools, jigs, fixtures, or gauges.
• Studies blueprints, sketches, or tool descriptions and plans sequence of operations.
• Sets up and operates machine tools to machine parts to specifications and verifies conformance.
• Fits and assembles parts into assemblies using hand tools.
• Verifies alignment using various instruments.
• Communicates ideas to improve the organization.
• Uses clear independent thinking and maintains regular attendance.
• Works under the guidance and direction of Lead Toolmaker / Supervisor.
