Job summary

Pretium is seeking a Blow Molding Tooling & Changeover Technician to prepare, install, align, and dial-in molds, tooling, and equipment for extrusion/injection blow molding assets. Troubleshoot issues, optimize parameters, and ensure runs meet spec.

You will review handoffs, stage tooling, and log data in MaintainX, while supporting preventive maintenance and process improvements. Overtime may be required and safety protocols are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in blow molding manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and confident use of hand tools.
• Experience with CMMS scheduling (MaintainX a plus).

Responsibilities

• Review shift handoff, stage tooling, and check CMMS tasks in MaintainX.
• Clean, polish, and lubricate molds and components to remove flash and buildup.
• Rig, install, align, and remove molds; perform rapid changeovers.
• Set temperature profiles, parison programming, and blow pin settings.
• Run first-article samples; weigh, measure, and verify dimensions with precision tools.
• Eliminate defects such as flash, thin walls, and uneven distribution to reduce downtime.
• Fine-tune machine pressure and timing to hit quality targets and production rates.
• Document production data, downtime, and material usage in MaintainX.
• Assist with new equipment installs, upgrades, and process improvements.
