Job summary

Paycom - ATS in California seeks a skilled machinist to set up and operate major tooling equipment, including drills, mills, lathes, and surface grinders. CNC experience is a plus and blueprint interpretation is required.

You will report to the Tooling Supervisor or Plant Manager and contribute to quality reporting, maintaining a clean work area, and meeting production needs. 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Basic English reading and math skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Familiarity with carbide material and Mastercam is a plus.
• EDM knowledge is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints/drawings to create tooling.
• Set up and operate major machining equipment.
• Verify and report the quality and quantity of work performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report to the Tooling Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.

Ability to run an OD grinder, honing machine and CNC is a plus. Candidates are required to interpret blueprints/drawings; verify and accurately report on quality and quantity of work performed; maintain a clean and organized work area.**Daily tasks****:**Interpret blueprints/drawings to create tooling. Set up and operate major machining equipment.**Minimum Qualifications****:** High School graduate or equivalent. Basic English reading and math skills. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Familiarity with the material carbide and Mastercam is a plus. EDM knowledge is also a plus.**Reporting Relationships:** Will report to the Tooling Supervisor and/or the Plant Manager.**Success Factors****:** The candidate should have a good attitude and be willing to learn. Good communications skills a plus**Position Requirements:** Requires **full work time only. 10 hours a shift- Monday to Thursday - overtime expected depending on production needs.
