Job Description

The Tool Shop Attendant is responsible for maintaining the tool crib, which stores tools and small jigs used by production. The attendant monitors equipment use and ensures tools are kept in good repair. Key responsibilities include inventory management and inspection of tools for wear and tear.

  • Receive, store, and issue tools used for production (including chemicals), maintaining records of equipment movement.
  • Visually inspect tools and equipment for defects and wear; coordinate maintenance.
  • Mark and identify tools and equipment.
  • Support calibration activities under QA guidance.
  • Coordinate with local suppliers to validate material order receipt, availability, and due date.
  • Create SAP master data and purchase requests.
  • Coordinate with strategic procurement regarding material consumption, batch order quantities, and order cycles.
  • Perform goods receipt and inventory adjustments.
  • Participate in audit preparation and the audit process.
  • Shop floor control functions: perform aircraft clip tools cleanup using methods such as media blasting, and daily consumable carts kitting and station delivery.
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
Additional Information

This is a temporary (contract) position with no fixed duration, which could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by Segula Technologies and assigned at our client’s facility.

Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics or tool management in a manufacturing environment, including inventory management or relevant experience.
  • General knowledge of hand and power tools, cutting tools related to the aviation industry.
  • Knowledge of shop safety protocols (clean as you go, FOD) and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency with data collection programs such as SAP and Excel.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
