United Rentals is seeking a Tool Service Technician (Service Tech II) in Sterling, VA. You will perform maintenance checks and minor repairs on specialty tools, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years repairing/maintaining specialty tools and equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and basic schematics knowledge.
• Own tools applicable to position and valid driver’s license.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to management.
• Perform routine repairs on tools with supervision.
• Perform major repairs under direct supervision of higher level service technicians.
• Maintain paperwork and work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Familiarize and demonstrate a wider array of tools for customers.
• Other duties as needed.
