Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Tool Room Technician for a company in Germantown, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on the 2nd shift with hours 3:15pm-11:15pm and a salary target of $58,240-$72,800 per year.

The Tool Room Technician A will set up and remove molds, program and operate tool room equipment, make alterations to molds and fixtures, and coordinate tool repairs in CMMS. CNC controls knowledge and mold experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool and Die maker; or 7+ years of experience in a tool and die or mold shop.
• Knowledge and use of CNC controls.
• 2-4 years of experience in machining operations/building fixtures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience/exposure to injection molds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and removal of molds in production equipment in order to perform necessary maintenance and PM activities
• Program and operate all tool room equipment
• Make alterations to existing molds, fixtures, and tooling in support of design changes
• Maintain a safe working environment in the tool room for others conducting work in the tool room
• Group leader responsibilities as assigned
• Mold and die disassembly and reassembly to support changeovers or repairs
• Coordinate and track Mold tool repairs through CMMS (eMaint)
• Participate in RCFA on damaged tools from production
• Continuous improvement: train and mentor, surface problems, utilize PDCA to solve problems and drive improvements, 5S
