Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Group is hiring a Tool Room Technician in Delmont, PA to maintain tooling inventory, repair and prepare tools, and source tooling and supplies. You will work with production, engineering, quality, and planning teams to ensure tools are available and meet quality standards for on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with CNC lathes, grinders, and milling machines, plus strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and GD&T familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred.
• Experience with tool grinding and maintaining tooling records.
• Ability to operate CNC lathes, surface grinders, and vertical milling machines.
• Proficient in GD&T and reading engineering blueprints.
• Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and refurbish cutting tools and fixtures.
• Operate CNC lathes, grinders, and mills to modify tooling.
• Pre-set, measure, and verify tooling to specs.
• Maintain tooling inventory and issue purchases.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and planning teams.
• Assist with safety and maintain clean tool room.
