Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Tool & Die Makers, Mold Makers, Toolmakers, and Manual Machinists for Reading, MA. This hands-on Tool Room role focuses on precision tooling used in manufacturing, including injection molds, stamping dies, fixtures, and more.

The ideal candidate has strong manual machining skills, can read blueprints, and independently setup and operate equipment. Shift is first, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime opportunities based on department needs.

Competenze

• Previous hands-on machining experience required.
• Strong conventional/manual machining with milling machines and lathes preferred.
• Tool & die making experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with surface grinders and EDM equipment.
• CNC milling and CNC lathe experience is a plus.
• Able to read blueprints and tolerances with precision measuring tools.
• Independently set up machines and complete machining work accurately.

Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Tool & Die Makers, Mold Makers, Toolmakers, and Manual Machinists for a well-established precision manufacturing company in Reading, MA. This is a hands-on Tool Room position focused on the manufacturing, maintenance, modification, and repair of precision tooling used in manufacturing operations, including injection molds, stamping dies, secondary tooling, and assembly fixtures. The ideal candidate will have strong conventional/manual machining skills, experience working with tight tolerances, and the ability to independently set up and operate machining equipment. We are particularly interested in candidates with tool and die experience and a strong background in manual machining. Location: Reading, MA 01867 Pay Range: $35.00–$55.00+ per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (flexibility available) Shift: 1st Shift | 40 hours per week Overtime: Available based on department needs Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site Open Positions: 2

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional/manual milling machines and lathes.
• Operate surface grinders and conventional EDM equipment.
• Utilize CNC milling machines and lathes as needed.
• Manufacture, maintain, modify, and repair precision tooling, including injection molds, stamping dies, and production fixtures.
• Machine components according to blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications.
• Work with tight tolerances to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and modifications to molds and stamping dies.
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and determine appropriate machining solutions.
• Collaborate with production and technical teams to support tooling requirements.
• Maintain machining equipment and a clean, safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on machining experience required.
• Strong conventional/manual machining experience with milling machines and lathes is highly preferred.
• Tool and die making experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with surface grinders and/or EDM equipment.
• CNC milling and CNC lathe experience is a plus.
• Experience manufacturing or repairing injection molds, stamping dies, fixtures, or other precision tooling preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, specifications and machining tolerances.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities?

• Ability to independently set up machines and complete machining work accurately.

Important: This is not primarily a CNC Machine Operator position. While CNC machining experience is valuable, the primary focus is on candidates who can independently perform manual machining, work with precision tooling, and manufacture or repair molds, dies, and fixtures. Candidates with experience in tool rooms, mold making, die making, or precision tooling environments are especially encouraged to apply.
