Qualifications

• Blueprints, sketches or drawings used to determine tolerances.
• Ability to read measurements and ensure accuracy.
• Experience with hand tools and basic machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, drawings, manuals and samples to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Measure and mark dimensions on material to guide machining.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders and NC machines.
• Adjust speed, feed, coolant and tool positions for precision.
• Observe operations to detect malfunctions and correct as needed.
• Verify finished work against specs and document in the system.
• Operate welding equipment for cutting or joining carbide parts.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve issues.
