Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a 2nd shift Machinist for our Freeport, IL facility. You will operate and set up conventional, NC, and specialized machines to precisely machine steel and brass parts.

The role offers a wage of $26.93-$29.00 per hour plus a 7% shift differential, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Benefits begin on day one and include a comprehensive package and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, manuals and guides.
• Capable of reading and interpreting documents related to procedures and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up conventional, NC, and specialized machines.
• Machine steel and brass components to specification.
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Use innovative approaches to solve problems and optimize resources.
• Complete Total Productive Environment activities and maintain tools.
