Job summary

Randstad in Carol Stream, IL seeks an experienced Tool Room Machinist to assemble and repair fixtures, set up and run CNCs and machining centers with Mastercam, and maintain tooling for production. The role demands precision, tool repair skills, and the ability to manage production flow.

Responsibilities include building dies, repairing tools, ordering materials, and operating forklifts. The position requires strong blueprint reading, safety compliance, and reliability, with competitive benefits

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in machining, tool repair, and CNC operation.
• 3-5 years of experience with turning and milling set-up, all-around machining, and Mastercam.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mazak lathe and mill controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Machine and build fixtures and devices for product finishing and machining operations.
• Set up and operate CNCs and machining centers using Mastercam.
• Build new forming and sizing dies to produce products such as elbow-cap-reducer forming.
• Repair and maintain tools to ensure continuous production.
• Monitor production flow and address issues at the worksite press.
• Order perishable tools, alloy, and tool steels according to specifications.
• Operate forklifts to assist in tool room operations.
