Job Title: Tool Room Clerk



Summary As part of the maintenance team, the Tool Room Clerk will assist in the safe production of quality products by maintaining tooling inventory for the manufacturing plant. This includes receiving storing, and issuing hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment for setting up industrial machinery.



Starting Wage: $24.00



The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ANBM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.

  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.

  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.

  • Puts away I/M Grinding Wheels and Sticks.

  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment.


Requirements

Education and/or Experience




  • Minimum High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must also have technical skills gained through trade school or experience.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Experience working with vendors and negotiating prices.

  • Computer skills to include MS Office applications and ERP software.




Physical Demands




  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.

  • Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

  • Able to sit, stand and walk on the plant floor throughout the shift.



  • Ability to lift equipment up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour work week. Overtime may be required.



  • Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of the position.

  • May be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

  • This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can read and measure.
