Title: Tool Room Attendant

Location: Blair Nebraska
Salary: $21.60 depending on experience
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7a-530p

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Team member must be able to work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, scheduling, record keeping and inventory control of all aspects of the tool room.

  • Must have working knowledge of tool and parts usage.

  • Effectively communicate with supervisor and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.

  • Maintain adherence to published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required by the demands of the job.

  • Must be able to keep track of information to keep business and supply chains on schedule.

  • Must be capable of performing computer work in Excel, Word, and other software as needed to perform the job.

  • Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.

  • Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.

  • Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.

  • Communications with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives

  • Meet physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements of the job will be provided to you prior to employment.

  • Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.

  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.

  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

  • Experience: 0-2 years in inventory control desired, but not required .

  • General knowledge of tools

  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner

  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties

  • Communication/ Expression —The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

  • Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
