Job summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Custodian/Tool Room Specialist to receive, stock, and inventory tools, T.O.’s, and TMDE. You will issue, track, and maintain accountability using automated systems to prevent loss.

The role requires maintaining cleanliness, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring equipment remains serviceable. The position may involve building custodian duties, escort responsibilities, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of SBSS and repair cycle systems preferred.
• Experience with MIS/SBSS interface or related computer systems required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Valid State Driver’s License (Real ID) and ability to obtain flightline license.

Job description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Receives, stocks, controls, and inventories bench stock, tools, Technical Orders (T.O.’s) and support equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Issues tools, T. O’s, test equipment, test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and support equipment from the tool room and maintains strict accountability.
• Uses automated tool accountability system to ensure the possibility of lost equipment and tools is eliminated.
• Performs preventative and minor maintenance on tools and support equipment.
• Ensures tools and support equipment are clean, oiled, and serviceable.
• Marks and identifies tools and equipment for quick inventory.
• Controls calibration schedules for TMDE and ensures overdue calibration items are removed from service and sent for testing.
• Performs Equipment Custodian duties and manages the Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL).
• Performs duties as building custodian to include Escort duties, Zamboni operator.
• Assists in snow removal.
• Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
• May perform other duties related to the classification as assigned to include temporary duty and travel.
• Must be able to work, day shift, swing shift, night shift, and/or weekend shifts as required.
• Receives CUT training and is qualified to perform maintenance tasks associated within classifications.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required
• Knowledge of applicable Government documents, directives, and technical orders is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), repair cycle system and basic aircraft / engine components is required.
• Must have knowledge of procedures for handling and disposalof hazardous materials.
• Minimum of one-year recent experience working with MIS/SBSS interface or related computer experience is required.
• Familiarity with Fed Log system is preferred.
• May occasionally handle items that weigh in excess of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
• Must have a valid State Driver’s License (Real ID) and must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits:

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $38.44
